Contributions and membershipThe Arlington Historical Society, founded in September 1956, is a non-profit organization incorporated under the laws of Virginia and operated for literary and educational purposes that support research, collection, preservation, discovery, restoration, and dissemination of the local history of Arlington County, Virginia. Contributions of materialsThe Arlington Historical Society appreciates contributions — gifts or loans of historic objects, manuscripts, letters, records, photographs, maps, video and audio tapes and other materials relating to Arlington — for use or display in the museum. All artifact donations must be pre-screened by our Acquisitions Committee. Please email a description and photo, if possible, to info@arlingtonhistoricalsociety.org or leave a message at (703) 892-4204. The Arlington Historical Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit tax-exempt organization and financial and in-kind contributions made to the Society may be tax-deductible. MembershipMembership in the Arlington Historical Society is open to everyone interested in the Society's objectives. Members receive the Society's newsletter several times a year and a copy of the Arlington Historical Magazine, published annually.
